Have you been gooped? Are you subscribed to the meticulously curated destination of all things clean beauty, fashion and shiny homes? Goop is Gwyneth Paltrow’s modern lifestyle brand. Gwynnie and her brand are known for backing bizarre therapies – vaginal steaming comes to mind for one, oh, yeah coffee enemas too!
Gwyneth Paltrow has been a strong advocate of CBD with Goop publicly endorsing it. Goop is firmly at the top of the high-end wellness culture and Paltrow is truly catapulting CBD into the widespread consciousness.
Is Gwynnie the CBD queen? Goop was first to endorse it. Her lifestyle brand are capitalising on the CBD explosion with CBD bath bombs, CBD tea and CBD chocolate. Gwyneth is also reportedly collaborating with retail stores for a new CBD venture in the near future.
Goop and Gwnnie’s seal of approval has helped to put CBD at the forefront of the ‘wellness’ realm. The once maligned ‘wellness’ marketplace is now evolving into a credible business model. Today’s consumer is more open minded in comparison to previous generations and companies like Goop are at the forefront of this new trend.
Articles on aerial yoga, the benefits of crystal acupuncture, autoimmune diseases and mindfulness fill our favourite health and wellness blogs on a daily basis, we simply can’t get enough. Unsurprisingly when the Goop team began writing about sophisticated CBD-Infused dinner parties and CBD cocktails our CBD antennas went into overdrive.
Goop worked with Maxwell Reis, an uber-cool LA mixologist known in the industry for his incredible CBD-Infused cocktails. In a Q&A with Goop, Mr. Reis answered all CBD related mixing and pairing questions as well as developing four insanely delicious sounding cocktails for the magazine.
What’s the big deal you might ask? It might only be a few drinks recipes to most, however, the idea of CBD becoming mainstream and featuring in a simple cocktail recipe would have been unthinkable only a few years ago.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop is set to become a Netflix TV show with the famous actress expected to co-host the new documentary. The series will reportedly feature doctors, researchers and alternative practitioners. It’s hoped that CBD will feature in the series which has yet to be given a release date.
Gwyneth Paltrow helped to launch a wellness summit called ‘In Goop Health’. The summit features trusted experts and cutting edge practitioners who discuss the latest in well-being.
During the summit in 2018, panelists outlined the differences between the cannabinoids THC and CBD. They also dicussed CBD and a myriad of topic debates that left everyone wanting more.
As a result of the ‘In Goop Health’ summit, Gwynnie-approved CBD products began to feature on a Goop branded section of MedMen’s branches in California.
MedMen offers deluxe cannabis & CBD though boutique-like dispensaries. Here you can buy CBD bath bombs – containing essential oil and 25mg of CBD, CBD Goop tea-bags and decadent (gluten-free of course) chocolate.
Not one to lay around, Gwyneth upped the ante on her own e-commerce site too with content on CBD beauty, CBD popsicles, CBD and the menopause and the future of CBD. Sleek, sophisticated palm-sized vape pens aimed at the middle class market are also for sale. Paltrow regularly speaks about her beloved CBD vape pen and offers advice on how to use it properly.
Gwyneth has already developed her own line of vitamin supplements, skincare and bath soaks……the bath bombs are just a start to her CBD-range within her Goop empire.
Safe to say Gwynnie is all over CBD and there has been a major glow up on Goop. CBD is here to stay and fits nicely into the niche market of luxury wellness.
