There is a new jelly bean in town. A CBD sugary treat. David Klein, often credited with creating the famous Jelly Belly candy in 1976 has created a CBD-infused jelly bean and he thinks it’s a match made in heaven.
Spectrum Confections which sell Klein’s new jellies have sold out of all varieties on its website. It was that popular. Klein saw a gap in the market for CBD jelly bean treats and proceeded to develop 3 options to purchase – original, sugar-free and sour.
With 38 flavours including toasted marshmallow, strawberry cheesecake, cinnamon and mango they are seriously moreish. The secret to its success, according to the founder father, is that its size “is perfect for the proper dosage”. The New York Daily News reports Klein developed a special process to infuse the beans that is currently patent-pending.
“We are putting 10 ml in each bean. If people want a small dose, they eat one. If they want 20 ml, they can eat two”, he said.
Satiating your sweet tooth without giving you a high it has all the other goodness intact – the anti-inflammatory, pain reducing and calming effects that CBD is purported to have. I have a craving for a CBD pina colada or a tutti-fruitti jelly bean right now. Bliss.
UK companies are growing at an amazing rate, offering a fantastic range of CBD products that would satisfy even the sweetest of tooth. CBD-infused edibles continue to grow in popularity within the UK market as demand from consumers shows no signs of slowing down.
Check out these fantastic UK based companies who offer a great selection of CBD-infused edibles:
Vegan eatery ‘by CHLOE’ launched a range of CBD-infused baked goods at its London and New York restaurants in 2018. It got an overwhelming positive response. We Brits, love our puddings and the London restaurants featured a pop up called Feelz serving an array of sweet treats all infused with CBD.
Ready to salivate? – think Gooey Chocolatey Leafy Brownie (that’s what it is actually called) – heavenly right? – you can also feed your pooch a CBD-infused peanut butter bone while you sip an espresso and indulge in some sweet treats and watch the world go by.
The chain co-founder Samantha Wasser said:
“I am a big believer in the benefits of CBD and the potential of the ever-expanding industry.”
It ran with unprecedented success at by CHLOE’s London location at Tower Bridge and Covent Garden with large queues out the door.
CBD Village UK will let you know when the next pop up starts.
Jelly beans are big players in the confectionery world and it’s only fitting that they align with CBD – an equally big player in the edibles industry. Worth noting that not all CBD products are created equally. Start low and slow and work your way up the dosage ladder. Edibles can be slowly munched for slow release benefits.
Klein doesn’t want to make any health claims but he’s confident he has created a product “that will help the world.” A kaleidoscope of colours with an injection of CBD just in time for spring!
Whatever gets you through the day. Would you try a CBD-infused jelly bean?
